Six Months

Its six months today
We’ve been together now
The months have past so quickly
Like moments somehow
Six precious months its been
Exactly to this day
And only two months more
Until our wedding day
In the years we have before us
Let us hope and pray
That we are half as happy after
As before our wedding day

Reflections

A young couple contemplate the six months that have passed since they first met and look forward to their wedding day, which is two months away. Tempting as it was to include Six Months with the wedding poems, there is a brutal realism about love after marriage which I felt made it inappropriate.
